New song for you and you and you! Thank you, The Bluegrass Situation, for letting me sing this brand new song to you upon your beautiful rooftop in LA. I didn’t know how else to say it, so I sang it and it goes like this…
NEW SONG ALERT! The incredible Jill Andrews and I wrote this tune together about a year ago. We couldn’t get it out of our heads, so we decided to record it a few weeks back. It’s called Sea of Love and we’ve got it here to share with y’all. Hope ya dig it as much as we do! Thanks to the The Bluegrass Situation for selecting it as their Song of the Week – listen here: http://www.thebluegrasssituation.com/read/langhorne-slim-and-jill-andrews-sea-love

Beauty is in the grit. That’s what I love about these super 8 videos shot by 50 Feet of Song. In a world where HD is pooping on mystique by revealing everything, 50 Feet of Song remains dirty and beautiful: http://www.50feet.org/signature-sessions/langhorne-slim
For years I have fantasized about singing with a gospel group. I’ve been aching to do something different lately, to experiment in ways that I haven’t before. All in the name of peeling back the layers to reveal the fruit. I’ve also been spending a lot of time in New Orleans – lots of fruit there. About a month ago, I decided I wanted to make a video for the song Changes and asked Casey McAllister (keys in The Law) if he knew any gospel singers in town. He sent me a list of names – Topsy Chapman & Solid Harmony was the first group on it. We called, Topsy answered, and it was on. Topsy said she wasn’t just a gospel singer – she sang everything, and was ready to roll when we were. A week later, my dear friend Joel Sadler (La Blogothèque, Pink House Sessions) met us at the First Presbyterian Church in New Orleans, and we brought the fantasy to life. Deep love and gratitude to everyone involved in creating this, and a million thank yous to Conan O’Brien & Team Coco for premiering it. It was an honor to sing and perform with these beautiful folks – We hope it moves you.
Thanks to everyone who came out to our west coast shows with Sawyer Fredericks – It was a beautiful tour. While in Los Angeles, we had the privilege to appear on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, one of our favorite radio shows of all time.
