I recently spent two weeks in New Orleans. I got bit by the bug of that place, and I’m not the same. Never have I been to a town so energetically complex. There’s a dance between light and dark that shook me, and I’m still shakin. I want more, I want in. I wanna dance there, and I’ve developed an urge to try all the moves. Along with my traveling companions, Joel Sadler and Sarah Schutzki, we cut a few short videos. Here’s one we did by the levee near the steamboat house. The tune is ‘Whisperin’.
When I was a little kid, I used to watch the Indy 500 with my brother and Dad in New Jersey. Back then, I liked it more than football because I understood the rules. I recall it being loud and fast which both scared and thrilled me. To this day, all my favorite things still do. The Indy 500 is using our tune “The Way We Move!” Check it out and RIDE ON!
I’m certain we all want to demolish that in which we feel constrained by. The jobs and relationships that weigh us down, the voice in our heads that say we can’t; to be wild and to be free. After all, we are animals. This song and video are dedicated to the free sprit that lives within every one of us. Fellow Wild Ones, we present to you: ANIMAL
Thanks to everyone that came out to the solo shows at City Winery NYC and City Winery Chicago, and to my old high school, Solebury School, for inviting me back to play after all these years. It’s been a moving and beautiful week! Here’s an exclusive video of two brand new tunes filmed in the wine cellar at City Winery NYC. Hope you dig it & see y’all out on the road!!
